Clubs

Art Club

Season - All Year

The Art Club is a place for students who are interested in learning more about visual arts. Beginners and seasoned artists are welcome to join at any point in the year. They will hone in on their skills, develop technique and collaborate with their peers with the purpose of beautifying the school and community. The Art Club runs every Tuesday after school in the art room from 2:15 to 3:45 pm.

Book Club

Season - All Year
Meets Thursdays every 5 weeks after school in room 236 for tea, biscuits and discussion!
Looking for a fun way to enjoy books and meet new people? Maybe you are not reading as much as you'd like and want to encourage yourself to pick up a book more often? Blessed Trinity Book Club is the perfect place to engage conversation, create new friendships, gain new perspectives while participating in healthy debates!  Reading a new story solo is often a marvelous way to relax but sometimes you just want to discuss what you've read with another person-- or two-- to bring those ideas off the page and into the world! Joining the Blessed Trinity Book Club, students are able to gain a sense of community while finding people who have a shared interest all while making sure everyone feels included.
Join us in discussion with cookies, tea and delectable book where conversations are endless and friendships are limitless!

Dance Team

Season - All Year
The dance team is a group of experienced dancers who learn dances throughout the year to be presented at school assemblies, pep rallies, masses, and other school events. The team also competes in three competitions per year. Opportunities are available for student choreography and members usually take part in local workshops throughout the year. The styles of dance studied are ballet, lyrical, jazz, modern, tap, and Spanish dancing. The team meets once a week for practice between the months of September and May.

Drama Club

Season - Fall/Winter

An interactive and fun club focusing on improv and stand up comedy. All students are welcome. The Drama department most recently completed several shows for the feeder schools called the Stories of Robert Munsch.

Eco Club

Season - Year Round

The Blessed Trinity Eco Club is called to empower our students to take action to protect our environment today, tomorrow and in the future, and we strive to educate ourselves and others on important environmental issues as we bring forth a more sustainable world, locally, nationally, and globally.

We meet every Wednesday after school in room 117/116.

New and old members of any grade are always welcome to join at any time of the year! 

We are determined to make this world a better place one environmentally conscious action at a time!

Math Competition

Students in all grades at Blessed Trinity have the opportunity to participate in a variety of mathematics competitions. These include the Canadian Mathematics Competition sponsored by the University of Waterloo.

Mock Trial

Students in Grades 10 through 12 are able to role play a case from the Ontario Justice Education Network in front of live judges in the Court House in St. Catharines and they compete for a championship Trophy and an opportunity to go the Regional showdown.

Students in Grades 11 and 12 law are encouraged to join and we also encourage students who take Civics in class during the school year (September to June) to join the team as well.

Safe Schools

Season - Year Round
The Safe and Accepting Schools Team is a volunteer committee of students who work in collaboration with school staff advisors, and other leadership teams at Blessed Trinity, to promote a positive school climate. Students participate in meetings and events throughout the year including the Grade 9 Retreat Presentations, Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, and Random Acts of Kindness Day. Team members explore leadership opportunities in the school community with the goal of creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and accepting learning environment for all.

School Reach

Season - Year Round

School Reach is a Canada Wide competition based on the Reach for the Top television show. Students meet once or twice a week to practice answering questions based on high school curricula, current events and trivia. Grade 9 and 10 are intermediate competitors while grades 11 and 12 are seniors. Interschool competitions are held with the best senior team in the zone going to provincial finals. Students find this activity a great deal of fun - and it's educational! All students are welcome to attend.Season - Year Round

Ski Club

Season - Winter

For 6 evenings in January and February students travel to Holiday Valley Ski Resort in New York State to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. Students can provide their own equipment or rent from the ski resort. Limited spaces available, buses leave Blessed Trinity on Wednesdays @ 1:15 p.m. and return @ 10:00 p.m.

Sky Pilots

Season - Year Round

Sky Pilots are a group of students led by the Chaplaincy Leader who are interested in developing Christian leadership skills. They enhance the spiritual life of the school by participating in Masses and prayer services, Pilgrimage, social justice projects, and awareness campaigns. Members of the Sky Pilots have opportunities to attend workshops such as "When Faith Meets Pedagogy" and "Development and Peace." The students use the knowledge gained from the workshops to raise awareness in the Blessed Trinity community about pressing social justice issues. Sky Pilots meet once a month Tuesday afternoons in the chapel and at other times as necessary.

Tech Crew

Season - Year Round

The tech crew is made up of dedicated students who setup complex video and audio equipment, often within a very restricted deadline, for assemblies and other activities such as the music department Christmas and Spring concerts.

Weight Room

Season - Year Round

Open to all students interested in getting fit. The new and improved facility hosts both cardio and weight training equipment and a new sound system. This club runs Monday-Thursday each week after school until 3:30 p.m. There is a $40 fee for the school year. This is a very popular and large club at Blessed Trinity every year.
