Several current and former students and staff from Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School came together virtually to record Hallelujah

NEWS RELEASE SAINT FRANCES CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL ************************* Last week, several current and former students and staff from Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School came together virtually to record a beautiful version of Hallelujah, in time for Holy Week, which began on Sunday.

Instead of the Leonard Cohen version, they recorded one written by Christian musician Kelly Mooney specifically for Holy Week.

We are happy to share this with you, and thought that it might make an excellent story idea, particularly as so many people are having to be apart during what is, for Catholics and many Christians, the holiest week of the year.

We have a couple of other things on the go, too: Throughout the day today, Niagara Catholic is distributing computers to students in need. We are also collecting all of our PPE and cleaning supplies, currently being unused, to donate to healthcare sites in need.

Finally, please remind everyone that our school yard playgrounds are closed. We are hearing about people accessing them, despite the signs and locked gates.
