Aubrey Morrison was destined to play hockey at the post secondary level.
“I’ve been playing hockey since I was four years old. I grew up right next to the Peach King Centre so it was bound to happen for me. I played soccer until a few years ago but I quit because I was afraid of injury. I knew hockey was my No. 1 sport.”
That proved to be an astute choice as the Grade 12 student at Blessed Trinity recently committed to play scholarship hockey with NCAA powerhouse Colgate. Colgate has been to the last five NCAA tournaments. In 2024-25, Colgate went 30-9 overall, including 18-4 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference, and lost 3-2 to Minnesota in the quarter-finals of the NCAA tournament.
