Chiara Nicolazzo’s post secondary soccer destination was originally supposed to be close to her Beamsville home.

“I had my mind set on a certain school but I just didn’t think it was the right school for me because I worked my whole life for soccer and I didn’t want to settle for a school that I didn’t like,” the Grade 12 student at Blessed Trinity said. “Then I remembered the last call that I had was with Purdue and the coaches were so passionate about everything. They truly touched my heart with what they were doing and I decided that I had to tour the school.”

A trip to the NCAA Division 1 university sealed the deal.

“We went on a visit and the school is amazing. I knew right away when I stepped on campus that I had to go there. I didn’t even have to think about it. I knew exactly where I wanted to go and I had to go to Purdue.”
