Elijah Benjamin wasn’t messing around when he decided the University of Windsor was where he wanted to play post secondary football.

“I messaged their coach, he was interested and we had a call the very next day. Then he told me he could take me on a visit and I went on a visit and I loved the city of Windsor,” the Grade 12 student at Blessed Trinity said. “I loved their team culture so I was very happy to make the decision to be a Windsor Lancer.”

The 17-year-old Grimsby native had interest from other Ontario universities but Windsor’s team culture and one other factor was too much for Benjamin to resist.
