Elliotte Pergentile is the Blessed Trinity Thunder’s Secretary of Defence.

The 17-year-old, Grade 12 student anchors the Thunder’s blueline and takes great pride in helping keep the puck out of the net.

The Grimsby native turned in a solid effort in her own end and also picked up an assist as the Thunder blanked the Denis Morris Reds 4-0 to capture the Niagara Catholic Athletics Zone 2 girls AAA hockey title Wednesday afternoon in Grimsby.

“I’ve been on the team for three years now and I just think I provide a spark in the back end. I’m not a big goal scorer or anything, but I am there to keep the games close and support the players,” she said.

Pergentile gets as much satisfaction helping keep the puck out of her net as she does scoring.
